CIAMIS REGENCY, MATA-PERISTIWA.ID – The 384th anniversary of Ciamis Regency was further enlivened by the Night of Unlimited Harmony, a collaborative music festival that offered entertainment and messages of community development and empowerment. The event took place at Lokasana Park in Ciamis on Tuesday evening (June 17, 2026).
The event, which is also part of a series of events to welcome the Islamic New Year, 1 Muharram 1448 Hijri, is the result of collaboration between the Ciamis Regency Government, Ciamis Class IIB Prison, the Bakti Anak Negeri Foundation, elements of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), the arts community, and a number of national musicians.
Thousands of residents crowded Lokasana Park to watch the various performances. The music festival featured national musicians Charly Van Houten and Yayan Jatnika, who captivated the Tatar Galuh community with a number of their signature songs.
Beyond entertainment, the Unlimited Harmony Night also featured a special moment, featuring the release of a song written by inmates at the Ciamis Class IIB Prison. The work was born from the Ciamis Prison Music Corner program, a creative development platform for inmates with an interest and talent in music.
The song’s launch was one of the most public-focused events. The presence of this work from behind prison walls demonstrated that the rehabilitation process can foster positive creativity and offer new hope to inmates.
In his remarks, Ciamis Regent Herdiat Sunarya expressed his appreciation to all parties who collaborated to make the event a success. He specifically thanked the staff of the Ciamis Class IIB Prison for initiating the creative development program through music.
According to Herdiat, activities like this are proof that synergy between institutions can produce programs that not only entertain the public but also have a positive social impact.
In addition to commending the organizers, the Regent also reminded the public to maintain security and order during the entertainment activities. He hoped the conducive atmosphere would remain so that the entire series of Ciamis’s 384th Anniversary celebrations would run smoothly and successfully.
Herdiat also expressed his gratitude to all parties involved, including the Ciamis Prison, Ciamis Police, Forkopimda, the arts community, and the musicians who participated in entertaining the people of Ciamis Regency.
On another occasion, the Head of Ciamis Class IIB Prison, Supriyanto, said that the work launched that night was a concrete result of the development process that had been carried out in the prison environment.
According to him, through the Prison Music Corner Program, inmates are given space to develop their potential and creativity so that they are able to produce works that are useful and have positive value for the wider community.
“Through the Prison Music Corner, we want to demonstrate that inmates have the opportunity to develop, create, and make positive contributions. The work presented tonight is the result of our ongoing development process,” said Supriyanto.
On the same occasion, the Bakti Anak Negeri Foundation also presented awards to a number of figures who were deemed to have made significant contributions in supporting the development and empowerment program for inmates.
The award was presented directly by the Patron of the Bakti Anak Negeri Foundation, Brigadier General TNI (Ret.) H. Rubiono Prawiro, to Herdiat Sunarya, AKBP Hidayatullah, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Antonius Ari Widiono, and Supriyanto.
Through the Night of Unlimited Harmony, the spirit of collaboration promoted in commemorating Ciamis’s 384th anniversary not only provided entertainment for the community but also symbolized that fostering, creativity, and togetherness can produce inspiring work.
